The Morgan Companies Acquires Land for Publix-Anchored Shopping Center in Florence, SC

The Morgan Companies is pleased to announce the acquisition of land at the intersection of West Palmetto Street (US Highway 76) and South Ebenezer Road in Florence, South Carolina, marking the next milestone in the development of Palmetto Place, a Publix-anchored shopping center.  United Community Bank will be the construction lender for the project.
Following the March announcement of Publix Super Markets, Inc. as the anchor tenant, The Morgan Companies is excited to share that Parker’s Kitchen will join the project as the tenant on the corner outparcel. Known for its award-winning convenience stores that feature Southern-inspired food prepared fresh daily, Parker’s Kitchen is a fast-growing brand throughout the Southeast and will provide an attractive amenity for both shoppers and the surrounding community.
With the land purchase complete, construction on Palmetto Place is expected to commence by October 2025, with anticipated project completion in late 2026.  Other tenant announcements are expected soon.

The shopping center will feature:
• A 47,000-square-foot Publix supermarket
• Approximately 18,050 square feet of additional retail space
• Several outparcels for restaurants, services, and neighborhood retail
