We watched and waited with the slightest hope that the Supreme Court would surprise us and make rulings that would not only make sense but also remotely depict them as judicial officers. But, we got a bunch of rulings that show conservatives believe they have a greater grip on the nation than what should be usurped from the fact they have managed, through hook or crook, to get an undeserved advantage on the court that was obtained through the nefarious actions of one Mitch McConnell, not allowing Obama to appoint a judge to the Supreme Court. It shows how one act of racist treachery can change the course of human history.

It needs to be noted Mitch McConnell single-handedly changed the makeup of the Supreme Court, thereby altering the trajectory of history. It also informs us of how detrimental it would be to allow Donald Trump to occupy the office of President again. By appointing narrow-minded conservative judges to the bench, we have judges ruling as if they think everyone in America is playing on a level playing field. At least former judges were persuaded that something had to be done to try and make up for the blatant wrong done to Black people in this country. But now, the present conservatives have taken the posture that all is even now.

Admitting they are being aided by the single stool pigeon of a Black man adds insult to injury. It makes me wonder what happened to Clarence Thomas that made him start hating Black folk like he does. One cannot forget about the telling of the over-sensationalized story of how being admitted to Yale law school through affirmative action made him feel as though he had a target on his back. It is obvious he wanted to be white all along. So, we assume marrying a white wife did it for him. Nothing else can explain how he sits on the court and votes in opposition to anything that would possibly show any favor toward Black people.

Now back to this hyper-insensitive court that seems to be paying off favors to the conservatives who elected or appointed them. What does America do now that we are inundated by conservatives whose mission is to "take America back?" Most of us did not take them seriously when they started saying things with such divisive connotations. But as we can all see now, the time has arrived when we must consider an agenda that can potentially radicalize our people. And don't bother telling me radicalization is not the way to go because it seems to have worked well for White folks. What we are seeing coming to fruition are long-thought-out practices that the Supreme Court is baking into law. Who's to stop someone from saying they don't want to serve Black people next?

We find what we thought was a safely guarded principle not so factual now that the country has fallen under conservative rule. There was a time when the justices were seen as the beacon of probability in America, but ever since George Bush added Clarence Thomas to the court, the court has been held for the bias and corruption they are displaying right now. But this is America drifting into the final stages of human existence where people will become delusional, not knowing right from wrong or good from evil. This court pretends since they didn't personally participate in the enslavement of Black people, they bear no responsibility to right the wrongs of the past. But we contend that neither did they participate in building this nation, but they were perfectly willing to take advantage of the benefits of what was produced by the slave trade.

The only way to level the playing field now is a war that will divest everyone of everything and then redistribute the wealth. We know that sounds bizarre, but to us, so does allowing white people to benefit from what was ill-begotten. If you give it some thought, there is no way whites and blacks can peacefully co-exist on Earth. We might need to consider the wind does not always blow one way, but eventually, there will be a shift. During that shift, we need to plan on being and doing the same thing to them as they did to us. Instead of thinking about reparations, we need to be thinking about reciprocity. Somewhere along the line, blacks allowed their fight for Equity and Inclusion to get mixed in with others calling for progressive rule changes to be advantaged by some of the same things they saw others benefiting.

The truth is Blacks should have never allowed themselves to be co-opted into any of the other movements because while they were asking to be treated fairly, our fight was more or less predicated on human rights. No other groups of people were judged on less than a human basis, but Black folk had the extraordinary burden of establishing themselves as fully human. That is what is missing when Whites try to look back over the centuries and see the actual damage they did. Otherwise, they never have to accept the inhumanity of what they did. That is mainly what some think about when working on the sidelines to appoint federalist judges. We admit the court is the new front line in the battle for equity. What is required now is looking back at what this country has lied about. We have proceeded with a lot of promises that have never been kept. And without those promises, there is no context for fulfilling the American dream.

The question needs to be asked and answered, what happens to the people trying to live off of unfulfilled promises? Can they build homes on land that was promised to them but never delivered? Can they get educated in schools that were never integrated, just desegregated? Every time we start getting close to doing the things that represent exposing and correcting the indecencies, inequities, injustices, and just plain old wrongs of the past, they simply add another caveat, called conservatism, as sufficient to keep us busy. We wonder what will happen if those who don't want to do what is right get their way. Convoluting the problem continues to be factored in as a solution rather than real change. Will this thing have to be dealt with by the true judge and equalizer of all things? In that case, we are commanded to run the good race and fight the good fight until He whom justice belongs comes. Clarence, we don't know where you will stand that day, but there may be a reward for sellouts. WAKE UP!

PS- The Federalist Society has a breath of new life breathed into them. Discrimination has become the law of the Supreme Court. This affirms that neither of the major parties is concerned about the people. Politics rule: the people come as an afterthought.
