This week we shall briefly look around us to see if the conservatives are making moves to take America back while we are stuck wringing our hands. The questions about whether we should support the democratic party are quickly answered. The Democrats are showing they don't have an agenda other than to defeat Donald Trump. The time has come for Black people to start thinking about building a reliable party or plan that does not force us to choose between the lesser of two evils. It is time for some Blacks to stop pretending the color of their skin does not matter; it does.

There is a definite focus on race and the issues that go to the heart of whether people can peacefully coexist. A growing number of so-called conservatives are stuck in the middle of a classless group that has no problem using race as a wedge issue. They have begun to talk loudly about Critical Race Theory, as well as trying to devise ways to disfranchise black voters. But we attribute that to the overwhelming amount of information being released daily by the media. It appears to show Blacks trending upwards. The problem with putting too much emphasis on that kind of information is it fails to consider the number of variables that go into assessing how people are doing based on unsubstantiated data. While several are moving in a positive direction, others still fall victim to the man-maid impediments erected to impede their opportunities toward success. Let's use Congressman Clyburn as an example of how limitations are placed on blacks trying to get elected to political office. Over the years, he has become more powerful and seemingly more self-absorbed. How the seventh district got pushed on us has always been a mystery. It seemed to give the conservatives in the state greater leverage.

It is not that this country has just done a few nefarious things to hold Blacks back. No, this country is built around discrimination. They have become a part of who we are as a nation. White privilege has become an acceptable norm rather than an exception. So you have several Whites who have made it their life's work to try and stop Black people from gaining any ground. The Ron DiSantis' are hell-bent on doing anything they can to stand in our way. For him to be doing what he is doing, there must be some back story tied to him. With the trajectory of his popularity, we'll be hearing more about the name DeSantis.

A whole host of others seem to have taken on the Montra of doing anything in their power to diminish the move of Blacks toward equality. In South Carolina, the conservative legislature is taking a much more insidious action. They are full speed ahead on using public money to fund private schools. You don't have to follow their every move; you only need to know their end game. They have been trying now to move the needle on vouchers. But in the past, there have been things that got in their way. But now the path has been cleared for them to push it through. With conservatives running practically everything in the state, this should be a relatively easy move, especially since they have adopted the block voting strategy. But the far-reaching ramifications might be a little more messy. Race-bated politics are never easy to force down people's throats except for Florence, where race-based politics are aided by the lack of a cohesive agenda by the so-called Black leadership base. They are too busy fighting against each other to let a little matter, like putting together a cohesive Black agenda, stand in the way. They have seemingly killed any attempt others were making to try and get a do something NAACP going. It shows they know how to fight, but most of their successful fighting is done against one another.

Now, regarding the conservative agenda, it might slow down just a bit, seeing that their stronghold on the Supreme Court might be in a little bit of trouble. Old dependable Clarence seems to be having a little trouble delivering these days. That has been why their Longview of the things that matter is always focused on the Courts. Just look at who they want to gain some advantage in their fight over abortion. That is why Mitch McConnell pulled that move not to allow Obama to name a justice on the Supreme Court. They needed a majority of the justices to be conservative. One could say that simultaneous to the racial rift that is going on, a subliminal move is going on to take America back to where everything was done or decided based on defects racism. There is no need to find a comfortable place in this fiasco. There are only two options to choose from. Either you choose right or wrong.

You would have needed to of been under a rock not to of noticed how fractious conversations politics have become around race. Conservatives have taken off the kid gloves; they are playing for keeps. In other words, they are fighting for their lives. They can see the handwriting on the wall; they are in an unwinnable fight but fight they shall until the last bell tolls. They see everything as black and white, so every advancement Blacks make is taken as a detraction from them. And oh, how I wish I were wrong, and there was some other reasonable conclusion, but like it or not, it is what it is. You are either on one side or the other. There is no safe territory. But then, what else would you expect from a legislature, which, for the most part, is surrounded by their own voices? The few absent voices are overshadowed.

There was a time when conservatives were much more low key, they didn't have the numbers to get their agenda through, but now they see the golden opportunity to move ahead with some of their more despicable plans, for which Trump gave them cover. That could point to Trump as being the head of the conservative agenda. Now is the time to see what type of country this is and what kind of people we are dealing with. Either you decide to be on the side of good and just, or you take your chances with those depending on issues like abortion and Critical race theory to save the day.

The question for this week is, "Are there enough good and decent people in America to compensate for the conservatives who believe slavery was a blessing for Black folk to get them out of the savagery of Africa?" Being the optimist we are, causes us to eternally hope for the storybook ending, where race wants to be a legitimate reason for people to focus on their differences; instead, they will focus on our commonalities. So wake up!

Sincerely Yours,

The Time Has Arrived For Revolutionary Thinkers To Be Put Back Out Front.
